On the face of it, I'm perfectly happy for any showrunner to mess with canon if they see fit. I might even be vaguely disappointed now if it doesn't happen!
However, I do have a more than small concern that this might all be tied in with the other rumour. Until I'm absolutely certain that S13 or 14 isn't going to end with no more regenerations and the Doctor either committing to settling down to help build a new Time Lord society or with her flying off into the space sunset alone, followed by a fade to black and a The End, I'm going to be slightly worried.


In the biggest plot twist the show has had in ages, it turns out Chibnall is just as insane as his predecessors, if not more so.
